Action for Education without Borders
Our Mission
"PROVIDE EDUCATION ACCES TO THE MOST DISAVANTAGED"
AESF is a humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education as a lever for development and openness to the world. Convinced that access to knowledge is a fundamental right, we work to foster equal opportunities and strengthen international solidarity.

The Project
Our mission: Provide access to education and promote cultural exchange, grounded in core values such as respect for teachers, by connecting young people from different backgrounds.
It all began in 2010, during a trip to the Himalayas. Accompanied by a close friend, I set out to climb my first summit at 4,500 meters. Along the way, we discovered McLeod Ganj, a small village north of Dharamsala, a spiritual and cultural hub where the Dalai Lama resides.
It was there, during an acclimatization hike, that we came across a school nestled in the forest: the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV). A school where nearly 1,000 Tibetan children—refugees living in modest conditions—both live and study, all while embodying a remarkable spirit and respect for others.

Since then, seven trips have followed, often with friends, but most memorably one with my daughter, Clara!
Together, we raised funds to support the site’s maintenance and equipment, donated computer material, and introduced access to robotics education. And in 2025, we took things a step further!

In 2025, Clara and I founded AESF – Association pour une Education Sans Frontière (Association for a School Without Borders).

This year, on top of equipment and facilities renovation, in France, in Europe, in Namibia or in India, we'll establish the first students exchange between Tibetan students from TCV and French students from Lycée Sacré-Cœur La Salle in Angers, within the framework of a joint educational project.

Therefore, in 2026 :
-
May 2026: 12 Tibetan students will come to France for 10 days.
-
October 2026: 12 French high school students will in turn travel to TCV in the Himalayas.
An experience that is human, philosophical, and intercultural

In 2023, we raised funds that were delivered in full and personally handed over to the Tibetan Children’s Village school in McLeod Ganj.
These funds were used to repair facilities and purchase equipment for the school, which hosts 800 students from kindergarten to high school.
We warmly thank the generous donors who made this first achievement possible, and we emphasize that – of course – all costs related to this support, such as travel to India, logistics, etc., were entirely covered by our personal funds. Donations were allocated 100% to the school.
